  • This is the album that propelled the Who into legend land, and Pete's first foray into concept albums. I listen to this vinyl lp and it takes me back to a time when there was just so much great music being made. The story of Tommy (which everyone knows) shows the Who becoming a great band, not just top ten 45 rpm act/5().
  • The guy really was an underrated songwriter overshadowed by the genius of Townshend. I don't think "Who Are You" is in the same league as "Who's Next" or "Quadrophenia", but I do think it is a very good Who album and should be an essential part of any fans collection/5().
  • Oct 13,  · Release date: October 13, In April The Who took to the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall to perform their rock opera Tommy live in its entirety for the first time in their long and illustrious olousouttrenlaposedichmanungsmaral.coinfous Who live shows had always dropped two, three or four tracks from the album but for this show in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust the band would perform every track.

  • May 22,  · LP Comments: This one's a tough call. All the LPs I've listened to sound very good. I'll have to give the edge to the Sony (Japan) for its overall quality of the sonics and vinyl. It does add a little more bass to the mastering, similar to many of the Japanese Who CDs. However, it isn't as intrusive here, as it is on some of those CDs.
